The only thing that did not work after transfer was my Windows Live Mail, however, research clearly showed the problem was the incompatibility of the Windows Live mail with Windows 10. However, the SSD migration automatically took care of splitting the stuff and basically putting programs on the SSD and data on the HDD. I was concerned that my 250GB SSD C: drive would be too small (I also have a 4 TB D: drive for data) to handle my 990GB of stuff.

The Five Star rating might be one star overly generous only because I did not have to rely on tech support for anything but I figure that since the software worked as well as it did and I didn't have a need to rely on support that the 5th star was deserved. Thankfully, this product worked as advertised and has earned my trust. Having done this too many times before, I really didn't want to have to do it this time unless absolutely necessary. Final thoughts: In a perfect world, I probably would have backed up my target PC, installed a clean OS, and then reinstalled all software and transferred files.

Regardless, this was easily done and now I basically have two identical machines (the target unit really just serving as a back up until the source PC fails.and that may not be long). The only thing I ran into with a couple of programs was that I had to reactivate licenses on the target machine (found it odd that some programs required me to do so while others did not and I'm guessing the transfer software had no part in this). After the three hour process completed (basically me starting it and then walking away to let Zinstall do its thing) the transfer was completed without issue! To be direct, I was anticipating some issues and was pleasantly surprised that, for the most part, things went incredibly smooth.
The results: I opted to use a cross over cable for direct connection between the two machines (not a requirement). My scenario: I'm an educator who needed to transfer all files and programs from an older Windows 10 PC to another "not as old" Windows 10 PC without losing files on either machine (both with different hardware). I wouldn't mind so much if it were cheaper and they didn't make such grandiose claims, but it is a lot of money for a product which really isn't that great. I am prepared to amend this review if I get a good result from this point but quite frankly, I've lost over half a day's work because of this and I would have been better spending the money on something else or transferring the data manually. I did this on both machines, ran it all again and - exactly the same result. Also, the support rep was impressively fast but clearly just did a cut-and-paste telling me it hadn't worked because I hadn't removed my antivrus. Each of these actions generates what appears to be an independent response from the support system, so if the program result gets there first, you get a response telling you you need to fill the form in again. You have to fill a form and run a program on each system. Finally, my experience of support so far hasn't been exactly stellar. And of course, if not everything has been transferred, you have absolutely zero confidence in the result. This isn't rocket science - if a program is excluded, exclude shortcuts to the program too. In addition, several programs were excluded and while it didn't transfer those, it happily transferred their start menu shortcuts. For example, I use Dynamic Theme and have turned all the 'live content' in the start menu off, along with the search in the taskbar. Despite selecting 'transfer computer personality' the target system neither contains all the apps transferred nor has the settings from the original system. they aren't adaptive) so are totally misleading and can jump suddenly or just stick at 100% so you have to rely on your disk indicator to see what's happening.
The percentage indicators are based on data transferred and not on time (i.e. It allows you to select things to exclude, either one by one or using rules, but with no option to preview what will come over and what won't.
It is stated in dollars and when you come to checkout, it is significantly more in sterling, with no option to pay in dollars. First, as others have pointed out, the price is misleading. I'm writing this review as a Windows software developer of some 20 years who knows the underlying OS quite well. Not really the seamless experience they claim
